i think this annoys me more than almost anything else, probably because i used to be like that myself
I took a rock history course last year and it was full of people like this. There was this one girl who never came into class, but when she did she would always look bored as shit when we talked about blues music and tried to push Disturbed into every single conversation we were having. Apparently, she thought Slipknot and Disturbed were the peak of musical quality, and that Pink Floyd was stupid because they used clocks as instruments.
