I like alcohol because it reduces inhibitions. I like weed because it makes me laugh... sometimes think. I like hallucinogenic drugs because they really make you think

But a group of wasted young women (or bros) is a pretty annoying sound I will admit. Even to other drunks

people always regret getting drunk. never in my life have i heard anything along the lines of "man, i am so glad i got drunk last night!"

Although for me smoking is an isolating activity (unless I'm with smash friends but we are there to smash primarily) and drinking definitely scratches my socializing itch more

There's a good idea, unless you're Italian. I put wine in mine, in keeping with tradition.  And yes, it's the flavor that's worth imbibing, not the alcohol as such, and every sophisticated continental connoisseur knows this.

Whiskey or bourbon goes into BBQ sauce successfully, and a cordial aperitif before and/or after a meal is appropriate.  A good dry or semi-dry red table wine goes well with beef or pork, while a dry or semi-dry white wine goes well with chicken or fish, and the reason that rule of thumb exists is because it's a matter of stronger flavor vs delicate subtleties. Save the sweet wine for dessert, and save the vodka or rum for the piece de resistance: flambe.

The art of mixology regarding martinis is an art to be savored in its own right.

im usually very reserved around new people or in large crowds so i drink to loosen myself up. Probably not a very good crutch but whatever. Whenever I first get to a concert or something i get anxious around the people there but i cut the edge off with one or two overpriced beers. I drink whiskey at home because i like the taste, though beer is cheaper.

i've never smoked weed because i think im kind of detached from reality, or at least was for a few years, so i was afraid pot or any other kind of drug would magnify that. over the years though i've eased off my anxieties of pot and would probably smoke it at some point. However there is this other part of me that's like "High school is over you missed the boat, boyo" so idk.
