hi boyah i am super broke and need to avoid being this broke again

what are your money saving tips
these are things that i have adopted to not be so broke

-bake my own bread
-eat hella rice
-eat oatmeal and eggs for breakfast
-bike as much as possible to save gas $$$ (although this might not be good overall since i keep spending money on kewl stuff for my bike)
-not have a smart phone

what else can i do

i have come super close to selling my car but i always back down
i just need to invest in god like rain gear for biking and then i should be golden

Saving money means that you necessarily need money coming in to save.
Tip #1: get an income.

2: cut down expenses. if you're down to bare necessities already, then you need to get a bigger income.

3: cut down on what your necessities are and live on fewer things that you consider to be necessary. It is possible to reduce water heating bills by taking cold showers, for example, but if your utilities are included in your rent and you can't reduce that cost, take hot showers anyway. Cut down on dishwater by reusing dirty dishes. Shower once a week whether you need it or not. Reduce the temperature that you consider necessary for comfort during the winter and wear double layers of clothing instead.  Cutting down on what is necessary for eating, eating a lot of rice is a good idea if you also eat a lot of beans with that.  Rice and beans together = good source of complete protein.  But don't forget that you need vegetables too.
