That was very nice of your friend. My dad tried to teach me once but basically gave up after that until I was 15. I learned to ride in a straight line but that's about it. Tried again some years later and couldn't get going.

Bikes scare me because I feel so high up on them and with the added speed it feels like I would break something were I to fall

lol i feel like that with cars...

i kinda wish i had anxiety for bikes rather than cars...but i'd definitely miss riding a bike

that's a reasonable fear to have. bikes can fuck you up. even if you aren't doing anything wrong your brakes can snap or a tube can pop

Yeah I think part of my fear is the horror stories and pictures I hear/see of broken bones, scars, blood everywhere, etc

In terms of fatalities or what? Speed probably plays a big factor I'd imagine because I think cars are safer than motorcycles

and you're usually not going fast enough on a bike to spill your brains
