Kaz: after he moved from Baudette to the city, he changed into a much more dull person who's unsatisfied with his life. He has some boring full-time job that at least pays well enough but doesn't get him anywhere. He's tried publishing a few books, but hasn't seen much success yet. Maybe he's found some other aspiration in life besides teaching and writing and is working on pursuing that.

Snorkel: he's the leader of some tech corporation, but everybody thinks he's corrupt. They're probably right.

Clucky: probably dead. If not, he's financially struggling to get by, can't manage to hold on to any friendship or relationship, and is one of those creepy guys who hangs out at all sorts of sketchy places and is usually on some sort of drugs.
