ya cause i totes want a perm. relationship in my early twenties without recognizing what i truly want vs what's good for me

i just dump a lot of people because i get bored in relationships quickly
plus im ghey and in nyc so having a lot of dates weekly isn't so unusual
also dates =/= ex =/= real 'exs'

dates are just going out to eat, hanging out, etc. nothing really serious, at least for me because i'm not the one initiating anything lol
ex for me stands for anyone i had a more-than-a-fuck-buddy-but-less-than-a-real-relationship
i had a lot of both because i'm really go well with people despite alleged neurosis by boyahgean popular opinion

as for ~real exs~ i just consider them authentic relationships
where i became exclusive and monogamous
worked out our differences and problems
negotiated and exposed sides of ourselves hard to express
all that heavy-duty things of a traditional relationship
i've only had 3 of them :'(

one was awfully toxic (my big fuzzy puppy that we're still on vague terms with. we can't decide to become friends, or revert back to boyfriends. pretending it's something and not labeling it relaxes us both, for now anyways), the other incredibly therapeutic and encouraging, and the last one i had helped me become aware how strong my feelings are


also buying gifts for your SO is fucking stupid
unless it's something of luxury, hand-made gifts are way more meaningful to give to SOs

also it'd be a while for me to get into a real relationship for a while
i've became aware of my defenses and i have the tendency to intently influence the other to replicate childhood archetypes so i can dive deeper into my emotions to "understand"

so now since i'm aware of what i do I can't do it anymore without feeling exploitative ;'(
i'm just going to go to a therapist in the next two weeks to help me <8
