pokemon levels in online battles are automatically scaled. your pokemon will be automatically put to level 50 and given whichever stats it would have at that level given its current IVs, nature, and EVs.

well i mean there may be an option to turn the scaling off or on, or change it to lvl 100, or some other level maybe...but i think it's lvl 50 scaled by default

i played with john a couple times recently and we always used lvl 50 automatic scaling

works just like the battle maison or anything else that scales levels

i don't think so

my levels were all below 50 (around 35) when i battled john and from what i could tell they got boosted up to 50

someone should check this right now to be sure though lol

Why?  Getting to level 50 is super easy

Just go the restaurant le wow, do the triple battles, turn on your exp share, equip a lucky egg, and turn on the exp o-power.  You should go from level 1 to level 50 in about three visits there.
