I helped rescue a dog on the way to work today :(

It was a pug, and some woman was pulled over on the side of the road. She unhooked the leash from the dog and it started running down the road. . So I pulled over and another driver pulled over to try and catch it, we cornered it in a turning lane and before we could return the pup to the owner she was already gone

why get a dog if you're just gonna set it free like that

that woman is an idiot pugs are so cute I would have taken the pug off her hands. But I say she is an idiot because even if you dont want the animal (WHY???) you shouldnt release it in a way that it might die. Definitely at least take it to a shelter... It's a pug... somebody will take pug

shelters are like death camps.... 

they might be saved tho

but also if they are released into the wild...

let it loose in a semi-public area and somebody will pick it up (unless it looks scary)

putting it in a shelter means it'll probably spend the rest of its life in a cage before being executed

that is a horrible idea
a small dog wouldn't be able to fend for itself in the wild
and it would contribute to the feral animal overpopulation
give it to a "no-kill" shelter
