Why is Fidel Castro considered the devil?

Srsly, whenever someone in the media says that they have respect for Castro, they get labeled as a social pariah (just read up on the Ozzie Guillen incident). However, have the people forgotten that Castro was far from the worst dictator? Not that he was good by any means, but considering the other shitfest of dictators in Central America, you could almost say that Cuba got off easy. Before Castro, they had a douchenugget called Fulgencio Batista who sided with the mafia and allowed corporations to fuck the country. How is that any better than what Fidel Castro did?

Also, why does nobody know seem to mind Augusto Pinochet? Or the Somoza regime in Nicaragua? What about Rafael Trujillo? Jorge Rafael Videla? It seems like you could run around the streets with a "Francois Duvalier iz da Bomb!" T-Shirt or make proverbial love to genocidal dictator Efrain Rios Montt, but the moment you lift up your finger to say "You know what, perhaps Fidel Castro wasn't all bad", everyone runs to the pitchforks
