Well, you know the deal. New rules upset members there. A lot of people are now pissed off.

Mainly about the whole FC deal and not allowed to request shiny Pokemon trades because they will most likely result in FC sharing in the forums.

That is so fucking gay.

If you want to share FC's, then do it.

Daddy

If, at the end of your trade discussion, someone encourages their business partner to PM them, it is assumed that they are sharing Friend Codes. If you are suspected of Friend Code sharing, your PM's will be read.

What's the new rule?

QuoteHey Trainers!

With this most recent installment of the Pokémon series, Diamond and Pearl have created a ton of activity on NSider. The Global Trading Station (GTS) allows you to trade Pokémon with people online without the need of Friend Codes. That's huge for NSider, because you are allowed to ask for or fulfill trade requests here on this board (so long as they happen via the GTS system). There are, however, certain trades that could only happen if friend codes are exchanged. As we all know by now, Friend Codes are considered a form of personal information and are not allowed to be shared on this forum via the boards, or in private messages.

We want to ensure that the trades that go on here are done within the scope of the NSider rules. So here is a general outline of which kinds of trades are allowed here, and how they should be bartered.

Acceptable trades threads

   1. Barter GTS trades ONLY
The only kind of trades that are allowed on NSider are GTS trades. Any trades that require the use of Friend Codes are not allowed, and should be reported. This is essential to allow the continuation of GTS trade threads.

   2. One trade at a time
It is good business to focus on one trade at a time, since that is the limit over the GTS. This does not mean that you should flood the board with dozens of trade requests. Rather, you should spread your trades out over a reasonable period of time.

   3. Complete your transactions in public
When you see an offer that you like, reply to their post and negotiate the timing of your GTS trade in the thread. All trade threads must have a start and finish.

   4. Trade legitimate Pokémon found in your Pokédex
The Pokémon that you send or receive must be restricted to those that you have seen before in your Pokédex. The Pokémon that you offer must not be obtained through illegitimate means such as cloning or hacking.

Outlawed trade threads

   1. Bartering with Friend Codes
If your trade requires the use of Friend Code sharing, then do not make your trades here. Friend Code sharing is absolutely not allowed, whether it is done publically or privately.

   2. Bartering multiple trades in a single thread
Do not request or offer multiple Pokémon in a single thread. GTS trades can only be performed one Pokémon at a time; Friend Codes would be required to hold multiple trades. Do not make "Trade Shops", "Auction Houses", or any other similar such threads where you update and keep track of all your current trades.

   3. Bartering Pokémon not found in your Pokédex
To get a Pokémon from the GTS, you must have first seen it thus have it in your Pokédex. That means that Pokémon exclusive to previous games won't be available via the GTS until you have completed your game's Pokédex and you receive the nationaldex from Professor Rowan. If there is a post offering trades without having the National Pokédex, it is being done through Friend Code sharing and is therefore not allowed.

   4. Bartering Pokémon Eggs
Eggs cannot be traded without the assistance of Friend Codes. Any threads offering Pokémon Eggs are not allowed.

   5. Bartering Shiny Pokémon
Shinies are very rare and therefore typically require the use of Friend Codes. Because of that, threads offering Shiny Pokémon are not allowed.

   6. Bartering unreleased Event Pokémon
Event Pokémon that haven't been release yet (Specifically Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus) are not allowed to be traded here. These Pokémon are not available to the public yet and so if they are being traded, are not legitimate Pokémon and were obtained by using cheat or hacking devices.

   7. Bartering cloned or hacked Pokémon
Pokémon that cannot be obtained through illegitimate means are not to allowed for discussion, let alone allowed for trade talk. Talk of hacking or cheat devices is not allowed on these forums.

   8. Completing your transaction through PM
If, at the end of your trade discussion, someone encourages their business partner to PM them, it is assumed that they are sharing Friend Codes. If you are suspected of Friend Code sharing, your PM's will be read.

Here's the point of this post: We need you all to avoid making any unacceptable trade threads on this board. If you see people trying to make an unacceptable trade, please report the post via the "Report Abuse to Moderator" function. And please remember, never ever exchange friend codes anywhere on NSider, and always use fair business practices!

Thanks.

Here comes the cussing.

Seems to be slowing down now. But geez people, shiny Pokemon doesn't make the world go around.

Buffy

I'd rather find my own shiny than have someone do the work for me.

We should all act like were gonna trade in PM's, so they'll look through, but won't find anything.

Or do something worse, like pretend to share CP or say you're going to commit suicide.
