So I made a terrible mistake

I planted trees EVERYWHERE and now I have to destroy them in order to do Public Works projects

Idk, on the first day there is an implicit commands that isabelle tells you to do. such as introducing yourself to all the nieghbors and shit. and then there is a point where she asks you if you want to fish or catch bugs and if you dont have the necessary tool she will sell you one or the other for normal store price.

I didn't realize what it was about until it was to late. On the first day, my store sold me a fishing rod and shovel, but no net. Isabelle seemed to be demanding I do various things, so when she asked whether I want to fish or catch bugs first I chose fish because I figured I'd be able to accomplish it sooner then she asked if I wanted to buy another rod and I realized my mistake

For I think two more days, the store continued to stock only fishing rod and shovel instead of net so it wasn't until the fourth day that I actually got one.

public works projects auto-demolish any removable obstacles like trees, buried items, and flowers

in all animal crossing games, having too many trees can decrease your town rating as much as having too few

Like in previous games, KK Slider songs can be obtained only once per week on Saturday night, but now it's at Club LOL (after you unlock it) instead of the Cafe (which, by the way, also must be unlocked)

Duplicates of any song you've held can be purchased from Nookling Catalog; they're not classified as rare items. There's 91 songs, so collecting them would be ridiculous if this trading wasn't possible.

I think it only updates once per day, but Isabelle's citizen satisfaction is largely dependent on environment

but it's also influenced by public works projects and, until you have a ton of them, her only suggestion is to build more of them, although the suggestion is stated after the overall satisfaction rating which includes environment. So you can know indirectly if your number of trees is bad, but not in which direction.
