I've actually already done most of those

For my first ~12 days with the game, I paid off one expansion and got another expansion every day, but put off the last 5 expansions because of moving up to the highest-tier expansion price (600,000 bells each) at the same time as I used all my money to buy masses of turnips. I've had enough of grinding bells at the island (if you look for the right bugs, it's 200~350k per trip) and intend to just use turnip profits for the rest of the game.

The final house has 6 rooms: center room, left, right, back, upstairs, and basement. Each of those rooms has three expansions: nonexistent->4x4->6x6->8x8. Though the center room is cheaper (and must be completed first), the other rooms each cost about 350k to construct, 500k for 6x6, and 600k for 8x8

Regular slingshot fires one stone and the Nookling store doesn't even stock it until it upgrades to the convenience store.

Silver slingshot fires two stones and can sometimes be found in the air, carried by two balloons.
Gold slingshot fires three stones and can rarely be found in the air, carried by three balloons.

Honestly, the slingshot is a pretty useless tool because all it can do is give you one furniture series. The silver/gold versions don't help much because the only items carried by more than one balloon are those tools themselves and aiming is so easy in this game that the extra stones don't help that either.

You can knock down balloons with a net or shovel as they're passing over the ledge, which is how I got my first slingshot over a week before the store first stocked any.
