Not exactly Smash Bros figurines.

Previous announcements suggest that Nintendo plans to release general character figures which are each usable in many different games, not something like Smash-exclusive figures.

it's not, but considering their recent trend of just numbering sequels (mario karts 7 and 8 come to mind) it wouldn't surprise me

on the other hand, they might not necessarily want to do that because this is being released on two platforms

They should announce a new character even if it's an old series staple...

It's been over a month hasn't it? And the game comes out this summer...
