Josh

If Persona 5 comes out on the next gen consoles, I'm getting whatever console it comes out on.
If Xbox 720/Durango is actually online only and doesn't play used games I'm avoiding that shit like the plague
And I have yet to find a reason to get a Wii U

So yeah I'm basically only getting a next gen console to continue the Persona series so I'll probably be getting a PS4 and maybe a Wii U eventually. If Persona 5 comes out on PS3 I'll probably avoid getting one for a few years cause I have all three current gen consoles and a hacked Wii that emulates every goddamn Nintendo system from Wii and below so I mainly use it to play GCN games and pretend I'm still in 5th grade and don't have to worry.

What are you guys gonna do next gen  doodhuh;

that feeling when you realize that they effectively phased out physical pc games this (last) gen.

i'll probably get a wii-u if the new smash isn't brawlgrade and has good online
which is probably because of the tekken influence
but who knows

same goes for the 3ds smash

but idk i don't even play new videogames anymore i just play smash and buy cheap used ones.

Two words:  Nintendo online ifeelbetter;

I'm surely going to get a Wii U, but it's just a matter of when. Might be around Christmas this year.
I'm not as interested in the other consoles because I'm still much more interested in Nintendo games than anything else; maybe I'll eventually get a PS4.

Too bad the Wii U (and 3DS) have no functioning homebrew hacks to allow something like Project M to exist for SSBU/3D n_u

strongbad

But you can play Project M on the Wii U which is cool

I am just optimistic that the new smash won't need homebrew hacks to be a competitively viable game, like melee and ssb64.

Sure, you can, if you don't mind not using a Gamecube controller

Isn't that the only controller you and other heavy SSB players use? Or is the Classic Controller actually reasonably popular?

that's where this guy comes in:

though i hear that the wii u pro controller is usable too
i think the classic controller is alright but still not on par with the gcn controller

Oh, I don't know why I didn't expect this accessory to exist. The mapping of start to three other buttons is a bit odd, but I guess that doesn't matter for SSB.

Wii U Pro Controller doesn't work with Wii games like Brawl/Project M, although it would become relevant to a future Wii U SSB game.

What exactly is it about Wii Classic Controller Pro that people dislike? The main annoyance I'd have with it is that it has to be chained to a Wii Remote, which that accessory doesn't fix. I believe the joysticks and buttons are nicer than the GCN's in that they don't wear down and become difficult to use nearly as easily, although I guess the grip might be slightly less comfortable.
