I am, like one of those factories that you visit, climb and crawl all over. Rust on my facade has spread, the colors run and faded, and some windows appear dark, or worse, shattered. My frame is still solid, but slowly erodes. The roof has fallen, mostly, and sunshine filters in, but illuminates only emptiness. This land upon which I stand, is littered and gone to hell. I am ready for an earthquake, as nothing can demolish this.

Doing a lot of writing, a lot of walking, a lot of talking, a lot of tie tying and pretend ego inflating. Meeting a lot of new people.

Still doing sprints around the interview circuit and trying to find something that clicks a little louder than the previous thing on the line. Still working on getting a paper published, but I'm not enthusiastic about it. There's really only a small niche in social study that is actually interesting me right now.

Been writing some copy for a school-wide propaganda catalog that's supposed to be sent to potential applicants for next fall. I'm not very enthusiastic about the actual content, but the team is made up of some really fantastic and hilarious people. It's work and it pays alright, I guess.

Onward and upward. Seriously considering a Grand Move within the next year or two to one of the coasts. I want to listen to where the money is and drive in the opposite direction.

this week has been really well
because i did nothing but marinate in bed and go out

today is okay
i got lost for two hours and stumbled a metallic sculpture from 1964's World Fair
so i arrived late at my job and they've just told me to go take the rest of the day off because nothing was happening
then i walked through chinatown and my friend bought me a perry ellis jacket
