craigslist rss to sms

i've been having some technical problems that i cant figure out
is anyone here fluent with rss readers? i understand them, but i can't get this to work. i'm trying to get an rss feed of a craigslist search to be sent to my phone everytime there is a new post (should be possible) but the only working rss to sms service that i can find (https://ifttt.com/recipes/8643) gives me an error whenever i try to use the url for a craigslist rss. something like rss title is missing or something

does anybody know about another rss to sms service? or how to get this one working?

this is a complete guess but the rss to sms thing you're using might require a static feed URL

so you could try creating a Feedburner feed (sign in with your google account feedburner.com) out of the dynamic feed URL that craigslist gives you, eg

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/?areaID=7&catAbb=sss&query=2013%20genesis&format=rss

becomes

http://feeds.feedburner.com/MyCraigslistSearch

then that might work.
