as much as i love wind waker, i couldn't see myself spending more than $20 on a mere hd port, let alone justify the cost of a whole new console for it

the only thing that nintendo could possibly do to make me excited about this is actually finish the game

i want to experience those dungeons that were very obviously scrapped, i want to see what they would have done with the triforce hunt had there been no time restrictions on ww's dev team

a completed version of wind waker would very easily earn its position as my favorite 3d zelda game, but i know nintendo and i know that this will just be a strict hd port with """new play controls""" and perhaps (if we're really lucky) an updated soundtrack and nothing more [/spoiler]

At least this HD port already has more than most other HD ports that other consoles are getting: new models and textures.

yeah, this, there's just something off about it and the colors are really saturated and cslvmld;ve :'(

hopefully they'll do some tweaking since it's probably only in the early stages of development, though

Wind Waker HD looks awful with that lighting. It looks like the models were loaded into Garry's Mod.

honestly if you want an hd wind waker, just emulate it with dolphin

When Iwata talks about Miiverse, he often refers to players/users as "customers"
and he says "Please understand the situation" when mentioning that not the entire Virtual Console library will be available from launch
and "I apologize to those supporting Wii U about the lack of new titles from Nintendo in January and February"

Is the Virtual Console logo new? I've never seen it before.
Perhaps notable, Virtual Console does have the ability to play on GamePad screen (which, by the way, is SD resolution)

During a special campaign of sorts (celebrating Famicom anniversary), they're releasing one NES game on VC per month and charging only $0.30 to buy that game during a limited 30-day sale (which, of course, is only available to early console adopters) after release until it raises to the regular NES game price.

Regular prices closer to these discounted $0.30 and $1.00 would actually help justify buying VC games instead of emulating.

I think it was announced before, but this stream 'revealed' Miiverse for smartphones, detailing that at first they're making a browser page intended for mobile browsers before later releasing a Miiverse app.

The point of Wind Waker was to simulate the look of a cartoon. This remake just looks shiny and weird, and it has that ugly plastic feel of Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii.

Wind Waker HD is the only reason I'd buy a Wii U before a price drop of some sort.

I'm really excited for the Wind Waker remake, they just need to tweak the lighting a bit.
Yarn Yoshi and Xeno-something look great, and SMTxFE, Mario, Mario Kart, and Zelda U should all be awesome as well.
Plus we all know Sony's going to collapse soon so I think I'm going to go ahead and get a Wii U this year

also, about wind waker, while i do prefer the way it looks already, i don't think the new look is "bad" so much as it's just too different. like i dunno, the environments look nice, but the character models are a bit weird.

i also see it as very unnecessary because the game already looks absolutely gorgeous through component cables
