has anyone else had any luck finding shinies in the friend safari? i found 2 in one day (oddish and phanphy) and i've literally never encountered a shiny pokemon before in 15 years of playing pokemon, so either i got obscenely lucky or they vastly improved the odds of finding shinies within the friend safari. or both.

i've only found one shiny in the friend safari so far

everyone's saying that the normal rate must've been increased this gen, and there are tons of rumors about how to improve it...some people are saying tipping people helps

i'm just gonna hold my breath about it until serebii's got official information on it

I found two, not three shinies. They were in grass, not from friend safari or anything: Sentret and Flabebe.

People have so far found that, in the new pokemon data structure, pokemon generated purely randomly (without any shiny-boosting) are now twice as likely as before to be shiny: 1/4096.
Nobody has yet figured out for sure exactly how known shiny-boosting methods (masuda, pokeradar, chain fishing) work now and it's not yet confirmed if anything else affects shiny rate (like friend safari or tipping)

How have you not captured Zyngarde

because i didn't feel like catching him yet? and i haven't been in terminus cave post elite-4 yet? and i kind of have to go there to catch him and since i haven't been there i haven't caught him because thats the only place he is because he's a legendary because thats often what legendaries do???
