For a long time I've been kind of turned off by Opeth since it always seemed too soft, but in the end (at least in this album) it has a very nice ratio of balad and metal.

I liked Opeth for being soft, my favorite album was always Damnation.

If you haven't already you really should listen to Ghost Reveries. In my opinion it is the perfect mix of ballad and metal
