The bats could be coming in through your roof or something. They're pretty found of chimneys, attics, siding, shingles... All pretty easy to break into.

Some people claim they can fit through a hold about 1/2 an inch wide too so I guess your window is still a possibility I think bats are cool when they're outside but inside they'd probably kind of freak me out
