I actually do kind of want to play this but I don't have a good enough internet connection, and I would have liked some sort of single player or offline type deal so I could get used to it. Computer might not be quite adequate either.
I think there's an offline mode.
Alright, I do see solo practice but it's grayed out for me.

And then I also figured out to just play with the bots and that I also have no idea what I'm doing
Just a tip from a new player, don't play against bots. They're nothing like the other players. If they get attacked and low on health, they'll run away and try to lure you pretty deep into their territory. Actual players will generally be more aggressive and won't back off. I find players to be a bit easier to manage.

don't let's

Well I wasn't even getting that far to where I could get them to low health

Play Skeleton King or Drow Archer. I've been learning them and they seems somewhat easy to learn.

don't let's

I still would recommend non carry heroes to start with. If you play those two, your team pretty much depends on you to get all the gold and exp to carry. If you don't know how to last hit/deny very well it will end up bitin you in the ass.

So yeah, supports like Lich and Tidehunter would be probably be better for new players. They arent item dependent, and they bring a lot to the team.
