I'm keeping my window open tonight and I can hear the foot traffic and everything else as it passes by.

My window is open too my friend, hung low among the curtains, which a wind hardly stirs. But in the distance, among the haze and through the fabric, lies the dim and jagged skyline, of man houses and obscure structures. It seems so bright from within the room.

I keep hearing sirens, but not the ones that draw and attract.
I can only picture people in need, waiting for them to get louder, closer.
Sleep's not easy on that front.
