all sorts of sounds are Available to Anyone and should be, but not everyone understands or Knows music. no one needs to Study it, just needs to listen to it. Does the Deaf know music? are they not Human?  i know people on this very forum, as well as real life, who realizes music isn't for them.

of course! and in a more powerful and unconscious way than the most expressive genius could ever state. Whitman put it best in his thoughts, when he said that 'you must not know too much or be too precise or scientific about birds and trees and flowers and watercraft; a certain free-margin, and even vagueness - ignorance, credulity - helps your enjoyment of these things'.

not only that, but no one could claim the delight of warmth of grass could ever be diminished or increased by one's knowledge of its most obscure and grand details. it's a little folly.

listeners of music have convinced themselves that music is made for them, this is Wrong. completely wrong. only a bad musician cares about what the listener thinks.
Real music is escapist and utopian, it doesn't matter if the songs are good or bad. the music itself is all that matters and the artist's personal opinion is the only opinion that matters. Music is about creating your own world for you and you alone, while a band is everyone trying to put their utopias together into one democratic union. not a Personal Utopia, but a nation. Every band is a Nation. a World is formed when a group of these nations form a coalition and comprise their utopias, or set up a utopian manifesto and kick out members who violate the Sacred Escapist Pact. Such as the DC PUNK scene, or the krautrockers, the LA sunset strip etc etc. these worlds are meant for the musicians. a Soviet to protect themselves from the realities of life.
Anyone can preform the song however they want, for this is how music should be, tweaking songs to your liking. but the Writer of the Song wrote the song merely for themselves, as does the people who cover the songs. they contain no message or no relation, if you do feel a "relation" to the song it is because you Either wrote it or tweaked it for your liking OR didn't get it.  call me a music elitist, for i am a musician, and that is what we are.

I am not sure who you are speaking to here, because I agree with the general spirit of your argument. And would never feel self satisfied enough to think something was meant for me exclusively. But as any great artist knows, all fundemental aspects are universal, so you merely have to describe the scene for someone to fill in the picture. There is nothing cheap or wrong about this. It is the essence of expression. And there is value in connecting to familiar things, recognizing a part of yourself in the world view of another. It is shared knowledge, a common thread, but weaved in many many patterns and directions.

i'm not calling you anything, you can imagine to be whatever you like.

I think, and I also agree generally with you, Great Art might be universal and connect common threads through everyone, but the greatest is something impenetrably grotesque because it is so alient compared to the rest of accrued humanity. it must be created for no reason other than the individual's fulfillment, because doing anything else, like caring about effective communication, would be sacrificing a part of oneself for an unsure and impersonal cause (unless you are an extrovert). like the silver man said, the only selfish act is to expect someone else (listener, reader, viewer) to think in the same way you do. at the same time, I don't believe any distinctions are necessary; the point is to elevate everyone/thing to this level, which (to me) is the real reason for the communicative aspect of the thing we are agreeing to call art.

and I'm not calling you anything, either
