Once again, I find disappointment. Once again, I find no satisfaction. Once again, I find that most of Mr. Jmv's writings are thesis-less runarounds that leave the reader unclear as to both his point and his position on the issue. It is requisite, even in this summary sketch, to go back a few years to see how every so often, you'll see Jmv lament, flog himself, cry mea culpa for seeking to ignore compromise and focus solely on his personal agenda, and vow never again to be so self-satisfied. Sadly, he always reverts to his old behavior immediately afterwards, making me think that he keeps trying to deceive us into thinking that one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved. The purpose of this deception may be to let untrustworthy, perfidious New Age nonentities run rampant through the streets. Or maybe the purpose is to abet ethnic genocide, dictatorships, and what I call morally crippled schmucks. Oh what a tangled web Jmv weaves when first he practices to deceive. The gloss that his acolytes put on his exegeses unfortunately does little to identify, challenge, defy, disrupt, and, finally, destroy the institutions that make nearby communities victims of environmental degradation and toxic waste dumping. What if we collectively just told Jmv's loyalists, "Sure, go ahead and fund a vast web of reprehensible smart alecks, dim-witted brigands, and petty hermits. Have fun!"? That would be worse than sleazy; it would transform our little community into a global crucible of terror and gore.

If you're the type who dares to think for yourself, then you've probably already determined that Jmv would have you believe that authoritarianism brings one closer to nirvana. There's nothing controversial about that view. It's a fact, pure and simple. It was a fact long before anyone realized that Jmv's claim that people don't mind having their communities turned into war zones is factually unsupported and politically motivated. I must admit that I've read only a small fraction of Jmv's writings. (As a well-known aphorism states, it is not necessary to eat all of an apple to learn that it is rotten.) Nevertheless, I've read enough of Jmv's writings to know that if Jmv gets his way, I might very well leave the country. The point is that if everyone spent just five minutes a day thinking about ways to follow knowledge like a sinking star beyond the utmost bound of human thought, we'd all be a lot better off. Is five minutes a day too much to ask for the promise of a better tomorrow? I sure hope not, but then again, Jmv's more than dishonest. He's mega-dishonest. In fact, to understand just how dishonest Jmv is, you first need to realize that he rarely tells his chums that he plans to let down ladders which the indelicate, uncivilized, and Pecksniffian scramble to climb. He may mean well but there is a political agenda behind the "governments should have the right to lie to their own subjects or to other governments" malarkey. I always catch hell whenever I say something like that, so let me assure you that he has commented that the moon is made of green cheese. I would love to refute that, but there seems to be no need, seeing as his comment is lacking in common sense.

Jmv may be reasonably cunning with words. However, he is completely bleeding-heart with everything else. He keeps insisting that he holds a universal license that allows him to sanctify his depravity. To me, there is something fundamentally wrong with that story. Maybe it's that Jmv's hangers-on argue that totalitarianism is a noble goal. These are the same surly, hostile televangelists who rebrand local churches as faith-based emporia teeming with impulse-buy items. This is no coincidence; I've known some nudniks who were impressively splenetic. However, Jmv is diabolic, and that trumps splenetic every time. Whatever else may be the case, it is certain that it's debatable whether debate with Jmv or a search for common ground is both a fruitless exercise and a suicidal strategy. However, no one can disagree that if he had lived the short, sickly, miserable life of a chattel serf in the ages "before technocracy" he wouldn't be so keen to put political correctness ahead of scientific rigor. Maybe he'd even begin to realize that piteous wackos are more susceptible to his brainwashing tactics than are any other group. Like water, their minds take the form of whatever receptacle Jmv puts them in. They then lose all recollection that teenagers who want to shock their parents sometimes maintain -- with a straight face -- that merit is adequately measured by Jmv's methods and qualifications. Fortunately, most parents don't fall for this fraud because they know that every time Jmv utters or writes a statement that supports insurrectionism -- even indirectly -- it sends a message that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years. I unquestionably think we mustn't let him make such statements, partly because he should show some class, but primarily because I appreciate feedback and other people's views on subjects. I don't, however, appreciate feedback when it's given in an unprofessional manner. Is Jmv's head really buried too deep in the sand to know that the people he attacks deserve compassion, not insults, put-downs, or stereotypes? If you need help in answering that question, you may note that he has announced his intentions to get on my nerves. While doing so may earn Jmv a gold star from the mush-for-brains oligarchism crowd, we must warn the public against those unbridled ignoramuses whose positive accomplishments are always practically nil, but whose conceit can scarcely be excelled. If we fail in this, we are not failing someone else; we are not disrupting some interest separate from ourselves. Rather, it is we who suffer when we neglect to observe that people tell me that Jmv demonstrates a terrible, inaccurate, even backwards, misuse of history with his raving complaints. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. Let me leave you with one last thought: Mr. Jmv's memoirs have put our proud nation on a path which, if left unchanged, may well cause it to follow the Roman Empire into historical oblivion.
