But oddly enough I relapse with friends and I find that they're gone, they've deserted me to go take care of themselves, which is cool, but it makes me realize that at the end of the day im on my own, and surrounding myself with these people will hurt me one day

That's exactly true. Friends are great, but, like you said, at the end of the day it's just you deciding what to do next. Dedicate your life to fulfilling yourself, don't waste it slaving away for the ideals of others. (Do you really want to party and do drugs your whole life? that's it?) Also, like Hippo said, it'd be a good idea to find some friends that care more deeply about you.

Not that there's anything wrong with a little weed or trip, both can be excellent for 'getting back on track'.
