I unfortunately have places I need to be in society and a certain belief that requires I invest and deposit little more product into my hair for the desired outcome, and when living in a condition where I don't have to interact with the general public, I'll gladly not spray anything on after I shower. Until then, I don't know, I'd look very lazy in my opinion.

Do you think all people who leave their hair in a relatively natural shape look lazy? (I'm not looking to start a fight, just curious.)

I can't help but be curious as to the texture...it looks oily in the first photo, but very nice in the second.
Also you're cute. Especially in the second photo.

But don't tell Popsi I said that.  n_u
The first one it probably was oily because In that picture I'm in like a driftwood hut and we had been camping in Northern California for a few days. Lol I was probably pretty dirty. But when it's longer it gets curly, so it looks like that.

I think i was tripping in the 2nd pic! I fixed the last picture, which is what it looks like RIGHT NOW wooooo

Well it's both shampoo and conditioner that remove the oils, and echo's right that using it too often is what makes your hair get more greasy really quickly, which is a problem I've always had. You're mostly right that washing it every day is bad for you, but rinsing it with water and using soap every few days, like once a week or so is supposed to be the best way to do it from what I know. Using soaps without detergent is also a lot better for you. I'm using this stuff now:

You can use it for shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, all kinds of crazy shit, and it's all natural ingredients. Plus it comes in a huge bottle and lasts a long-ass time. There's hilarious religious rantings all over the label too so I like to read those in the shower

Kalahari Inkantation

i thought the purpose of conditioner was to replace the oils washed away by shampoo

I do not think so. In the first place for some people this is impossible to avoid and in the second place I have seen plenty of people with very fine natural looks who somehow become much more compelling when they seem to absorb a lifestyle of general attitude with the demands of a specific world and radiate out something of their own nature, one that fits and works. That's intriguing to me, so I would hardly call that lazy. But for the sort that shape their hair in a way which is meant to erase their efforts is sort of like being stuck in a quagmire.

no i think it's more just like hair nutrient stuff but not really like your natural oils, just makes your hair shiny and stuff like that i think, i dunno i don't really use conditioner
but i think they have hair moisturizer that can help in not get so oily

I really like Skylarks hair. It's funky, to say the least. I remember when it was so long, and black! And she is very beautiful.

I have heard other people say this, and while I can understand and agree to some extent, I believe the people that really hold this theory are fooling themselves into making something out of nothing. Sure there is some connection, probably, but people bu into it too much, I think.

Of course this is not strictly a look and pass test! That's just the opening intro, the main feature is how they think and speak. And depending on that, then I will see if I was really fooling myself by making something into too much, or just scratching at the surface of a huge treasure trove.

Valid now, yes?

In the very beginning! I remember she showed me a picture or it might have been a web chat--I can't really know for sure--and in it she was so very pretty as a young girl with this long flowing hair, and it seemed black. I think she had a dress on. It was sometime after school.
