If it happens it is usually just for sex and not for like a long-term meaningful relationship. I am sure there are a number of women out there who would date someone who is a total ass to them, but a majority don't really go for that.

It's part of a "nice guy" mentality that just because you are nice to someone they should want to date you or at least fuck you a few times.

Girls like assholes because they are confident, know what they want, and generally blow money on the girl. I think there is a tiny aspect of wanting what you can't have either so the abuse makes them feel as though they are catching a guy out of their league (insecurities)
