I fucking love trains. Reading about passenger rail infrastructure and even freight rail sometimes gets me so fucking excited. TRAINS ARE THE BEST.

Let's do it! Or you can come to Chicago and we can ride trains all day here. There is a lot to see from trains and we can visit all the train stations and look at them. There are a few I haven't even been to yet.

I was hoping that Obomber's grant would make the high-speed rail line from Des Moines to Chicago a reality, but so far it seems stalled. cry;

Yeah the new guy who replaced LaHood is kinda sucking dick. I mean Detroit? Fuck. That. Shit.

I wish Scott Walker hadn't shat on everything, otherwise we would be all good. I kinda wish they had decided to do something looping around the driftless via like Waterloo and Rochester but I guess they still want the Wisconsin route long term and the topography of karst country isn't condusive to wide curves.

Side note: I wish I didn't have to keep thinking of the driftless. It reminds me of how things were. :(

Nyerp

fuck public transportation

I guess I am excited for high speed rails going up n down CA, seems like it might happen here first.

There are so many crazy and competing plans in CA right now but yeah, outside of Acela, SF to LA should be the first long-distance line, and probably the first true HSR in the US.

But I am more excited for NLX because I love me some Upper Midwest grit.

Yeah but that's not really the point.

There's a kid in my school who's obsessed with trains. God bless him

Hippopo

The first time I saw a train, I was twelve years old, and I instantly hated them.
