Would you recommend Zhuangzi a good starting place for the basic of Taoism, because the other book I tried reading seemed a bit too vague for me.

I've never really read anything about Taoism, only hindu things. aren't Zhuangzi and Lao Tzu the ones to read though

It seems that way, Tao Te Ching is what I tried to read and i felt this 1984 Orwellian message in it, probably through my misunderstanding of the concepts of taoism. Thought i'd ask since from what I know of taoism you seem to express in the SERIOUS discussions, but taoism is often blended with nearly every popular religion. [+ i only know bits and pieces nothing solid.]
