haven't fought anyone with fire yet, but the gold deku babas aren't that bad.
Also I guess it was harder since I was using the sword to deflect the seeds instead of a shield bash

because you can do it with the sword and it's pretty fun?
Also I'm pretty sure our shield had broken by the time we got to those guys

This is the only thing I find slightly annoying

I'm pretty sure his name isn't actually Loftwing, I thought that was just the name of the birds in general.

Got the 2nd metal shield last night before going into the fire temple.

or maybe just go back to skyloft and buy it

also I had no idea you could even deflect projectiles with the sword. My shield broke in the third dungeon and I couldn't defeat some of those helicoptering things towards the end.
