I pretty much hate pencils, I mean who wants to deal with the lead (graphite okay hahanngnlol yeah it's graphite ok I know) wearing down, they're usually fuck to hold in your hand, and I never take the time to erase anything even when I do use them.

Pens ftw

Samus Aran

it kinda depends on what i'm writing, but generally speaking i'm more likely to write with a pencil, so that i guess

YPrrrr

Depends how much I'm writing... for longer things, a pen since it is smoother and makes my hand cramp up less

Kalahari Inkantation

i use pens almost exclusively, there are only a handful of instances where i'd willingly use a pencil

I don't like how they feel. myface;

Now has anyone ever tried using a fountain pen? Like one of those old Sheaffer types that use ink cartridges? I've had some for a few years now and they're actually incredible, once you get used to it there's lots of different strokes you can make by manipulating the nib (bold print, fine print, extra fine print, slanty print for extra emphasis on cursive curves... great for differentiating sections of notes or writing like you mean it), and one of the cartridges lasts a pretty long time (refills readily available online too), and they are SO SO SMOOTH...
[/spoiler]

I love those!! I need to go buy myself a nice one. Unless it's a fountain pen I prefer pencils though

I switch between them mostly.  I would never use a pen to do maths though. :|

Hiro

I like pens better, and I always carry a pen around with me, but usually when writing class notes and whatnot I use pencil because I make goofy mistakes all the time.
