also newton's law of universal gravitation is a nice proof of classical mechanics but doesn't exactly describe the intricacies of astrophysics (otherwise gravity would be a force that is understood fully)

Well, according to astrologers, stars supposedly have an effect on personality, natural events, etc. and how do you explain that if gravity isn't a factor?

'gravity' could be a factor, but even if astrology somehow touched upon actual truths of celestial mechanics, the whole concept wouldn't be invalidated by one counter theory just because it appealed to how we happened to think at the time (eg that everything was purely mechanically relativistic)
