Video Shames PotD: Which of these companies would you say you "grew up" on?

My experience with with gaming thus far has been:

N64 â†' GameCube/Xbox â†' GBA â†' DS â†' Wii â†' PS3

So overall I'd say I totes grew up on Nintendo.

With each passing generation, here is the primary console(s) I went with:

SNES, N64, Gamecube, 360/PS3

Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance SP, DS Lite

In addition, the NES was my first gaming experience, and I only got non-Nintendo consoles from previous generations after those generations were already over. My first non-Nintendo console was the Sega Genesis, which I got when I was 18.

lol it always strikes me as funny how older, technology illiterate people will call basically any video game system a "nintendo"

well i've heard that too, but i think i've generally heard "nintendo" more

while I had a gbp, gba, ds, n64, wii, gc etc the systems that always got the most time played were my ps1, psp, ps2 and eventually ps3 and they also tended to be the games I leaned towards wanting most. Most of my early teen years were spent playing Socom II

I only just started playing games on PS2/PS3 within the last year or so
before that it was all Nintendo

I wouldn't say any... I started off on the PC and with Commodore 64, moved to N64, PS2 and Gamecube, now PS3, Wii, and 360. Sure, I used Nintendo handhelds, but that's all that was out.
