why do so many people willingly choose to go on emotional rollercoasters

Maybe I should be glad it doesn't make any sense to me. goowan
I'm sure you could argue that  n_u

It is hard to get out of once you jump in. You can be completely jaded and bitter, but when another new person comes into your life you kinda forget all the shitty feelings and go back to the good. It can be a pretty vicious cycle but it can be so worth it.

It does suck when it goes bad cause through the time you're with someone they infect tiny bits of your life. A song here, aand a movie here. Then when you are trying to get over them it just makes it harder and harder.

Still so worth the good.

Because love is probably the best feeling in the world so it is worth the emotional risks

Emotional rollercoasters would be better than the socially emotionless state I'm left in :(

It is really hard to explain. You get to know someone and then can't stop thinking about them and want to see them constantly. From there you go to dating if the feeling is mutual or they want to give you a chance or whatever there reason is. Then feelings strengthen and all the while you are basically intoxicated on the person. Hearing their name gives you butterflies and you realise you kinda are in love and it is completely wonderful and makes everything bright and colourful. You'd do anything for this person and making them smile is like winning the lottery. You just don't feel alone one bit even when you are.

It is a glorious sunshine filled feeling. Then things go wrong for whatever reason, they can't see you as more than a friend or they are moving or worse yet, they like another person. This is where it feels like open heart surgery with zero medicine while you are wide away. It breaks you and makes you jaded to love in general. It is the worst feeling in the world. But three words from someone who caused such pain can make it completely go away. It's more addicting than imaginable.

The feelings you get are amazing but as with all of life it is a struggle and people break you down. It is a risk you have to take to maybe have a chance at happiness.

Oh, and not that I have in a long time.

Boy that was fun typing on my phone...

i constantly felt alone and felt so guilty because of it cry;
and i don't think i've felt that sunshine feeling
it was more of a lightning bolt mixed in with heavy rain afterwards and then a period of clouds

yes, but my point is that the overwhelming majority of all the "shots" taken result in depression at best; only one, if you're lucky, might actually be permanent

why try if i'm almost guaranteed to fail no matter how many times i've tried in the past and in those post-failure states i'm worse off than if i hadn't tried at all sillydood;

I dunno, you should ask geno, he seems pretty upset to not have ever been with a girl n_u

Cause the depression is just filler

I'm really hurt and jaded at the moment as I just got out of my 7 monther and all those things have been said and got back to me via friends/etc, but I would do it all again.
