yes you do

if a new reply is submitted before your post goes through, it gives you the same warning and takes you to the normal post-making form

i dunno about you but usually the most recent post in any given thread is at the bottom and i'm usually replying to the most recent posts but idk

When you hit quote it pops you down to the quick reply area and puts the quote in. If you have it showing and on by default anyway. Not sure if it does the same on showing but off by default.
