Apparently "bosun" is an alternate spelling of "boatswain" which is "a petty officer on a merchant ship or a warrant officer on a warship who is responsible for the maintenance of the ship and its equipment"

Fortress of Bosun Origins takes place in a psuedo-medieval, futuristic time with flying warships and the like. You begin the game as a petty officer on such a ship which gets wrecked and crashes to earth, and you are the sole survivor. Your are promoted to chief officer of the ship when its rebuilt and given your own crew, but the war ends before you can see battle again. So you are now suddenly a chief officer in the military with no goddamn experience which lends itself nicely to some tutorial levels which takes 3 hours as per RPG standard. A story unfolds from there about corruption within the military and some hidden evil power and other generic JRPG bullshit. I dunno, fill in the gaps.

I should have given examples.

Console gaming is getting retarded online passes and DRM-like restrictions typical to PC gaming and PC gamers are seeing nice options that were exclusive to PC gaming (access to the console, support for mods) disappear.

Each side is giving the worst things about itself to the other.
