o cool. maybe with boyah 2.0 we require avatars uploaded to server?

Nyerp

you guys do know that uploading avatars etc. has been broken for a while right

at least for me

The permissions on some folder are probably all fucked up since we've moved so many times. I assume we could get it working with 2.0 since everything will be new

Have you ever thought of clicking "Forever" and not "once?"

also what version of os x are you even on.

Apparently that message comes up when you sync bookmarks on .Mac / MobileMe and they use ssl with rss or soemthing.

That's bizarre, I will investigate.

Please anyone post other new issues.

We are in the process of installing an SSL certificate on Boyah. An SSL certificate is what gives websites the fancy lock and green address bar, and more importantly, what guarantees that data sent between you and the server is encrypted and totally secure.

Part of the installation requires switching Boyah.net to a new IP address, so in the next ~12 hours Boyah may be intermittently 'down' for you while your ISP updates its records.

If you become unable to reach Boyah, try the following:

http://204.93.201.10/forums/
https://204.93.201.20/forums/

Try each as http/https.

Anyway this will all be finished very soon, just a heads-up that the domain might resolve someplace weird for a couple hours, but Boyah will not be offline or anything.

So THAT'S why Boyah loads so painfully slow I've had to bail out more than once and then just quit coming here. And I've got broadband. O_O
Hmph.

Also a strange issue, has anyone else noticed load times increase?

Sometimes the page doesn't load at all and Safari says that it couldn't connect to the server.

That's more likely a problem on your end, as I know for certain that this server doesn't have random brief periods of dropped connections. Do you have rusty leaky DSL?

I am using Safari and it has been completely fine.

Verizon FiOS.

Can you load other pages when this happens? Is it for a prolonged period or just single dropped connections ?
