And my train from Winona to Chicago is running two and a half hours late. What should I do by myself in lil' 'ol Winona, MN for a bit over three hours, without a bike or car?

I wish I had brought my caving stuff with; I heard there's some cool old brewry caves in Winona somewhere. Other than that all I really know about Winona is that they have a canoe factory.

But does Boyah have ideas? (other than go on Boyah on my phone)

Winona was actually awesome. Such a cool town. I spent a couple hours walking through downtown and along the waterfront. I really dig the old commerial, industrial, and ecclesiastical buildings downtown-- might be the best collection of quality buildings from the mid-1800s in the state. I especially liked that bank on third (looks almost like Sullivan or hullabird) and the church on main with the single bellower with a multitude of steeples coming out of it. Also all the old mills?! For a town of under 30k, there's got to be a lot of great UE to be had. Not to mention some of the towns we passed on our way up 43...Rushford in particular? I think I've been falling in love with Filimore county and the Karst country of the driftless region in general slowly over the last year. Such an interesting part of the state that I had never explored at all until recently!
