QuoteThe announcement is for a "super" version of MvC3, called Marvel vs Capcom 3 EX. It will be available as a DLC update and as a retail disc (with limited supplies, mostly distributed via online retailers), as well as a PC version and an (eventual) Wii U version. Pricing and release date are still being decided, but the rough release date is Q4 2011.
- The game will add 10 new characters, and Jill and Shuma will be part of the update if you don't have them already (they aren't counted towards the 10 characters).
- The only two characters I'll tell you about are the ones actually being announced at Comic-Con, which are Frank West and Cyclops.
- None of these new characters will be available as separate DLC for "vanilla" MvC3. You have to get the whole pack together.
- 4 new stages.
- The game will add some new modes and features.
- New alt costumes will also be announced for the game. You can also use these alt costumes in "vanilla" MvC3. The next set of alt costumes will be available just after the Comic-Con MvC3 presentation.
- Multiple glitches and balancing issues will be fixed in a patch available sometime in August. These changes will also of course carry over to MvC3EX.

Found that on Luelinks today.

I guess more will be announced maybe during Comic-con

I'm not surprised that they'd make this big of an update. But at lest it's available as DLC so we don't have to buy a whole new disc unless we want to.

I hope one of those new characters is some version of Mega Man.

Hiro

I'm really glad I'll be a DLC pack, I can't afford to buy the same game twice.

Its become a trend, Arcade Edition of Street Fighter is also available as huge DLC as well.

why are they doing this? Super counter productive.

1. I knew a 'Super' MvC3 was coming.
2. Game is still gonna be shitty.
3. I might rent it just to see if it's as shitty as MvC3.
4. Unrelated but they really need to fix all of the glitches and tone down the damage.

well if we're going to compare fighting games that are completely different from mvc3 in any way to mvc3 for the sake of posting, then i prefer guilty gear xx2 accent core over mvc3 (and it's a lot better than blazblue too)

I've never played a Guilty Gear game. befuddlement

basically they're better versions of blazblue, as blazblue is the spiritual successor to them
