Samus Aran

every once in a while, i've tried to incorporate something of a "to-do list" into my everyday life, but it never works. i end up cutting corners and putting things off still. i reason with myself that i prefer to do things on the fly anyway and don't like planning, so why bother?

guess i'm just not compatible with organization unless it's for meaningless things like anime lists n_u

that list is literally over two hundred items long so far for me so i can't really call it a "to-do" list because it doesn't give any idea of which games have priority over others

The only lists exist in my head. I don't like doing things that are not almost entirely of my own doing. So I do not want to really be reminded of errands and affairs I care little for. Sometimes I write down items that I need, on a nice index card, and take pain to include each and every detail, from aesthetic to the catalog. And I'll place it somewhere safe, deluded that I'll actually use it. I know I wont', but to me, the process of making a list, writing, thinking, filing, searching, and concluding, are much more meaningful than if I followed myself around after a piece of paper. It's rather romantic, in a sense, if only in that moment. I know what I have to do. Whether or not I do it, is a series of complicated moods and choices that I have made more willingly than not, and fully conscious, to all that comes with that. So really I've never made such things, because after all, everything lies in me, and how carefully I want to follow the program is a great measure of spontaneity and long pre and afterthought.

I sometimes start one during the School year to try and help me stay on track.

I usually maintain a mental to-do list, but don't record it anywhere.
Perpetually, it includes at least watching more anime series, programming various projects, and playing more video games.
