I don't listen to a whole lot of metal, but what I do has a bit of a progressive edge. Mastodon and Between The Buried And Me are my favorites. I've also been recently introduced to Cynic who sound pretty cool from what I've heard so far.

I love the shit out of Pantera but I really don't like Down that much.

But yeah, I love progressive metal. Opeth, Tool, Between the Buried and Me, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad. Mainly that.
