So, I have discovered today that I in fact do still have my full-ride scholarship, I just have to magically get 50 credits this school year to keep it in future years.
Against my family's wishes (they want me to go to community college or join the military), I am going to be going up to my college town today, where I will be living with my sister and sometimes various friends for the next two months, essentially being homeless. While I'm up there, I'm going to find myself a job, and save up money until the place I intend to live for the next year is available in August. I will then work another month full-time, and then work whenever possible during the school year. I'll be taking as many classes as I'm allowed (not many due to my academic probation), as well as taking classes during Winter Semester, and over the next summer.
I think getting this job now will give me a good head start into the school year, as well as teaching me how to be productive and responsible for myself. I was a massive fuck-up last year, and while my future challenges are significantly more difficult, it's the way to redeem myself.
If this plan does fail, then I can call myself truly defeated and then I will consider community college or, if I end up in severe trouble, the navy or air force. I really don't want to do that at all though.
