How is Fluttershy not the best Ponies?

my first episode of FiM was the Cutie Mark origins episode, stumbled upon it on HUB early Saturday, heard some about it on /co/ but beyond that I didn't have a clue, after that episode I fell in love, with everything about it.

Because Pinkie Pie exists.

I watched the episodes in "order," which means by episode number, since the episodes aren't chronological.  It took a good long while for Fluttershy to really break out for me, to be more than the quiet one in the background, and it was the final episode that sealed the deal.

Still can't decide.

I found Pinkie Pie REALLY annoying the first few episodes until the one with Gilda the Griffin when her character was developed more. And Feeling Pinkie Keen was a nice episode that made her more adorable.

And applejack's my 2nd favorite, she does everything for everyone and is truly amazing.

And I didn't get why people always characterized Dash as a lesbian until I put together the tomboy attitude and the rainbow mane, then I got it.

Really?  I loved the Cloud Cuckoo Lander aspect from the beginning.  I mean, I'll grant that I have raging ADHD and on some vague and silly level I relate to Pinkie Pie.

Feeling Pinkie Keen was good until the end.  The moral given at the end of the show, I found terrible, as the scientist, mathematician, and atheist that I am.  Twilight just gave up and abandoned the search for a reasonable explanation, and just chalked it up as unexplainable.  IMO, a very poor lesson to be teaching little kids.

I don't like Applejack too much...  Not that she is a bad or underdeveloped character, she just doesn't stand out as much as the others, IMO.  But it's a slight difference, because there is no real shallow or bad character on the show, even shitdamn Rarity has quite a degree of depth.  But if I *had* to rank them, Applejack and Rarity would be at the bottom, is what I'm sayin'.  Probably Twilight as well.

You can relate to these fucking Ponies! That's why my favorite is Flutteryshy, if I don't know you, chances are you will NEVER hear me speak, so I can totally feel how she feels.

I'm not a huge TS fan, but I have a friend who is always in the books just like her, so I feel a connection to her somewhat, but I feel bad about Rarity, she can go places, but Faust hasn't lifted her past "FASHION FASHION MAKEOVER~~~" yet, like she did with Pinkie's bouncing around talking fast stuff from the early episodes.
AJ is the most down to earth pony, she can't fly, isn't a unicorn, and works on a farm for god's sake, and her Cutie Mark story about moving to "Manehattan" the Big Apple, was too cute and very relatable to me at my stage in life, about to move out to college and all that plus, her VA is fantastic with that accent.

So who's your favorite of the CMCs (Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo, AppleBloom, Sweetie Bell)?

So who's your favorite of the CMCs (Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo, AppleBloom, Sweetie Bell)?

I don't really like the CMC, the episodes featuring them tend to not be that great. 

If you made me pick, all I can really say is not Sweetie Bell, cause I can't remember her doing anything of value besides being the pretty little girl.  Scootaloo is kinda like a mini Rainbow Dash, and Applebloom is actually used in the plots of some episodes (including non-CMC episodes) so IDK.

And Rarity was given some depth, as vain and "oh look I'm a pretty girl" as she can get at times.  There is depth in there, buried deep and difficult to find, but it's there.  As a note, they could have made her MUCH worse than she is.  And I mean, Suited for Success was a shit episode (I generally hate any musical that isn't being utilized to make fun of Pinkie Pie, but I hate all musicals in general, not just in MLP, with very few exceptions), but at least she owns a shop and makes the fashion herself, not some shallow "oh lets go shopping again" bitch.  And, I mean, you have to have a foil to Applejack.  It generates conflict.
