2 days ago I had an epic arguement with my father.

He got angry at us when me and my bro had the tv, computer on and playing MY DSL while on the computer talking with you people. So anyways, He keeps on repeating everything like 8 times. I got so pissed. Then he talked about how the movie we were watching while he arguing was/is spying on him because the background keeps on moving. He shouted that my aunts and uncles are talking about him and I yelled they're not doing this to you! He said that I was getting crazier from going on the internet. I heard so amny false things from his mouth and I was about to yell at him so much but I was too scared... But after that day... Everything turned normal. flower;

I never want to go through that again.

My parents kinda suck. Basically, my mom has been starting totally pointless fights with my dad for longer than I can remember, which usually go from "What's for dinner?" to "You're a fucking monster, I want to kill you" in a matter of minutes. As far as I can tell, they pretty much hate each other. I still remember when I used to sit on the stairs and watch them fight when I was around 3. I've been telling them they really need a divorce for years, but they refuse to get a divorce because they say if they did, they wouldn't have enough money to pay for both my brother and I to go to college, so they're basically only staying together for me and my brother, which I guess means they really care about us, although you wouldn't really be able to tell sometimes...

My mom has a lot of problems. As far as I can tell, she has paranoia schizophrenia, just by the way she acts. She talks to herself at least a few hours a day, and she's always kind of non-responsive when she's talking to herself, like, you have to yell at her to get her attention when you're in the same room if she's talking to herself. And on top of that, she panics over the stupidest little things, she always makes me get up and lock the door if she hears a car coming, she moved to this house way up in the mountains because she thought our old neighbor was going to kill her, and she always makes me turn the lights off upstairs if she hears a helicopter. I could go on for hours. Anyways, she doesn't exactly like me either. I get into fights with her almost as much as my dad, and it gets physical sometimes. She even shoved me out the door and locked me out in the rain once not too long ago. I really feel like if they got a divorce and I moved in with my dad, all my problems would be solved, but they refuse to.

Wow, your mom does more crazy shit then my dad. Don't you get scared of her sometimes? I know I'd get really scared and I'm pretty overreactive sometimes so that makes it worst.

The relationship with my father and I is very little like the typical father-and-son relationship. We're more like bar buddies who usually don't talk to eachother, but when we do, it shoots about two and a half hours out of our day. I don't technically consider him *the best* father, though. For the first couple years of my life, he caused a heavy deal of emotional trauma. Later on, though, he began to learn how to control his anger, and has gotten a little bit better. By now though, I've learned how to edge around his anger.

My mother is different, though. Sometimes I'll admit to myself that I think she's annoying and says and does things without thinking, but she's been through a lot, and I can't blame her for the way she is. She's suffered more mental trauma than some vegatables, and has a great deal of emotional issues she has yet to deal with from her childhood. As for being a mother, I can at least tell she cares.

Your mom's kind of like me. I do things without thinking most of the time, I'm annoying sometimes, and I've been through alot too.

There's no debate. Most people here have great parents compared to others. Unless your parents don't feed you and keep you locked away in the attic for your whole life, you should be saying that your parents are great. They care enough to love you, and that's saying something.

As for me, I love my parents. Sure, they piss me off sometimes, but I don't hate them. I only get to see them on the weekends, though, because I live so far away. D=

To sum it all up, none of you should be saying that your parents suck ass, because they love you enough to care for you.

My parents are awesome. Why? We share a mutual understanding of one-another. A mutual respect. Things that are sadly, not found in most relationships between parents and their children. I am very close to my parents and my family and I always have been. They are my best friends.
