I find this very odd.

You have an amazing life. Oddly, it seems like your mom gave birth to you when she was still in high school (you're 15/16, right?), assuming she didn't drop out. Usually this leads to a bad life for the parent and the child, yet it is quite the opposite in your case.

Now we hear other stories of people's parents that actually thought about having a kid before actually doing it, yet the majority here have average/under average lives.

This doesn't make sense to me. psyduck;

Actually my Mom was in Collage when she had me. She got out of collage and now she is back in training to be an emergency room doctor. My Dad has been cable guy since he was like 20... I think. Ya, I'm lucky eh

Uhm, how old was your mom in college?

If your mom is 32 and you're 15 that means she was 17 when she had you, and your dad was 16.

No, no, no, he said collage, not college. Anyone can be in a collage.

Reverse Psychology

Let's see:

mom: had on/off arguments with her, I moved out last year

dad: good relationship with; couldn't find any decent jobs here, moved 2000 miles away

My parents divorced when I was 3.

(Texts mom and asks age)
My Mom says she is 36 and Dad is 37

Great parents. They're both 50 and are still working. They intend to help me out with college and stuff and are always willing to give me a little cash. flower;

But seriously, they are good parents. No one can do it like they can.

Aww fuck... That's sad. Where is your dad anyways?

Coatesville, PA. He is cool, but he struggles.
I should visit him, thats not far from me.  psyduck;

My parents are generally good, but my dad gets stressed from work sometimes, but it's still not bad.

Why would you visit someone's dad?

Well if he is schizophrenic, he's a paranoid schizophrenic, which could be considered "Stage 2" out of 4 of schizo. There's more to it than being paranoid, though. Schizophrenics generally are very withdrawn from the real world, preferring to speak to imaginary people, base their suspicions on their own imaginations, etc. If someone can tell the real world from their imagination, they're not schizophrenic.

This man may only have a paranoid personality type. There is a difference.
1. He can tell which is real and which is not real sometimes, but he won't get over the fact that no one's spying on him. psyduck;

2. Maybe, but what he's thinking right now is very stupid. He thinks his sisters and brothers are spying on him and stuff.

Daddy

Somehow I missed this thread when it was first posted so I guess I'll post now.

My "father" walked out when I was two, so he's obviously not a good parent. I'd say he's the only person I can say that I'd kill if I had the chance.  I haven't told people this(other than Clucky and another person or two) but I have issues with worrying about being abandoned and I'm sure this has something to do with it, even though I don't remember much from when he was around or him leaving.  He came back once about 10 years ago, wanted visitation rights, used them them about 4 times, and I haven't heard from him since--and I don't have a desire to either, abandoning your kids once is bad enough.  Doing it twice is just cruel.

I was raised by my mother and step-father(who I will refer to as my father for the rest of the post since he is what a father is.  He was there for my birthdays, for school events, etc.)  Growing up, my relationship with them wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.  I always felt like my mother would put more focus on my sister and my father would put focus on my brother and as if there was no one there for me. I'm sure they didn't mean it(or even see it like that.  It's just my perception of what happened), but it still has an effect.

My mother is highly overprotective and that caused a lot of problems growing up. She seemed to enjoy setting strangely early bedtimes and only lightened up on those during high school.  She is one of those people who would read the rating on everything and would be really uptight about it. I couldn't have "t" rated games until I was 13 or 12, I didn't get an M rated one until I was 16 ( smithicide; ).  When i was 11 or 12 I wanted to go see a movie with my friends but she wouldn't let me because it was rated PG-13, what the fuck is that? Her monitoring of music content was annoying too.  You have no idea how difficult it is to make friends when people are picking on you for no reason and you can't make friends with the ones who aren't because you have no way to relate.  Discussing movies, things on TV, games?  Forget it.  After the movie came out on video I might have gone to my friend's house and saw it there, but by then people were talking about something else.  She was also pretty annoying with the whole "oh ur 2 yung to hav girlfriend thing".  Even though I doubt any girls were interested in anything other than harassing me ( :( ), this didn't make anything easier. I'm the oldest child so I had no brother or sister to help me here, and I couldn't go to my mom because "lol ur 2 yung for dat" or my dad because my mom is crazy and would yell at him.  At this point I don't live with her.  Her and my dad got divorced last year and she got all bitchy at me because I didn't want to live with her("bawwww he's not even ur rl dad y dont u lub you selfish brat. ur not even old enuff to make this choice", I went off at her for the "real dad" comment telling her what a real father was.  I still don't know how I convinced her to let me stay here for the few months that I was under 18).  She still calls me and bothers me to visit her every other week or two.  That's basically all I can handle, I can't stay with her for more than a few hours at a time before she starts driving me crazy.  I guess the whole consolation prize of her lackluster mothering is the fact that she made me read the bible(lol christian), which caused me to wonder what the fuck was going on there and notice all of the contradictions, and subsequently realize that Christianity is a bunch of bull. yay

k on to daddy  baddood;

I don't really have much to say here since even though I now realize how much of a bitch my mom is, I was closer to her growing up and I pretty much kept away and didn't bother with him until high school.  I don't know why, as a child I always felt like he didn't like me, even though that wasn't true. He really didn't do much wrong, he just didn't want my mom to bitch like she always did(I think something is wrong with her mentally), so he pretty much stayed out of stuff.  He's not that great with finances(lol no internet right now), but he's not a bad parent.  yeah i was gonna say more but i forget ;-;

Also, together they weren't the most helpful with making sure I succeeded.  During elementary school I'd get great grades and all I'd get from them was "nice job" or a small game if it was the last quarter of the year and i had all A's (basically one time).  There wasn't much motivation for me to try.  When I got to 6th grade and had to deal with all of the bullshit of trying to make new friends in a new city, failing, and being picked on, my grades suffered quite a bit since I didn't feel like doing anything once I got home.  My parents made sure to take the time to bother me about my grades now.  That pattern pretty much led me to slacking off for the rest of the time I was in school.  Succeeding really didn't get much to show that they cared, but getting lower grades did. It was some attention that I never got and it gave me a slight feeling of being wanted--something I never get.  :(  the only time i got to feel loved was negative attention.  doodthing;

so ya that's it.  with parents like mine you get the socially avoidant, spiteful, lonely, dickish, atheist jmv who spends all day talking to people online with the only thing to look forward to later in the day is talking to a person. ;-;
