I feel like with Dance music "intelligence" isn't very important. For me it's whatever makes me want to get up and move my body.

The term itself is kind of silly; it was made up by reviewers to describe the experimental electronic music of Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Autechre, Squarepusher, and many others. The artists in question often reject the term.
