Around this time last year I was really obsessed with figuring out what people thought of me. I was pretty hung up on it for a while. Thinking about it got me nowhere. After actually talking to some of my friends about it I found out that I what I thought people saw me as differed completely from their actually perception of me. I generally see myself as quiet, soft-spoken, and somewhat melancholic, but apparently I'm seen as loud, gregarious, constantly joking, and unpredictable.

I thought about this for a while, and it dawned on me that I perceive myself not in terms of how I act but how I think. Obviously the people who aren't me do the opposite. I'm a lot cooler than I give myself credit for.
