Have you ever thought about how other people perceive you?

I'm pretty sure that almost everyone here has been asked how they thought they were viewed by other people.
This is definitely a marijuana-induced thought, but shit, this blew my fucking mind.

Think about it this way. Think about how you view yourself. All of your individual characteristics, everything that you know about yourself. Then think about how other people view you. Viewing you knowing only what they know and seeing only what they see.

I've always viewed myself as a small, nonthreatening individual who fits in to society and is hardly unique in any way aside from being somewhat of a geek. The small part is a big deal, since up until 9th grade or so, I was always the smallest kid. Shortest in my grade, lightest, etc. I had a huge growth spurt and now am above average, but I still feel small, even when around people my own size. The thing is that other people don't view me as small, that's just how I view myself. Just this realization itself made me realize that there were probably tons of things about my person in general that I had a completely different view on. I almost wish that I could pay somebody to follow me around with a camera for a month, and then edit all the meaningful things (conversations, etc) together into somewhat of a video.

Sorry if this post is kind of scattered. It's 4:48am and I am not tired and wanted to post about this before it left my mind.

I used to be really self conscious...but now I really don't care what people think...and everyone seems to admire that for some reason.

I do it all of the time. In fact, I take it to the next level because almost every time I do something, I make a mental picture of someone else I know who tends to do the same thing I just did, and perceive myself as I would normally perceive that person.

Sometimes it's positive, sometimes it's negative. If it's negative, I always make a note in my head to try not to repeat that action in the future.

I've had people say they view me as a "character" who gets off task faaaar too easily. 

I'm not sure what that means.
