I've always liked The Beatles, but I've never actually owned any of their music. So I'm going to change that now.
But they have a shit ton of music. What are the best LPs to start with?

Samus Aran

for their "early" sound, just get Hard Day's Night for now

for their later sound, i say start with Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, or Abbey Road

or possibly White Album, but i'm of the opinion that a double album is never a good starter one

Samus Aran

oh, and by the way, the very first beatles album i ever owned was Beatles 1, which is a nice collection of their number-one hits, many of which are non-album singles (like Hey Jude, for example)

having some of those non-album hits is a good idea, however you decide to go about getting them

burzumfan420

1st album i owned was abbey road

you can pretty much start anywhere with the beatles, except maybe the white album, but that album owns 2

Selkie

Yea, like kaz, the first one I had was The Beatles 1, and that is basically what got me in to them.

My favorite albums though are Abbey Road, Sgt. Peppers, and the White Album. Generic, but I really think those are their best albums.

i have no idea if you're joking or what but personally i feel that abbey road is by far their strongest album, like they saved the best for last

and while i do enjoy let it be a lot, it's certainly not up to par with their other late albums

burzumfan420

not bad but the album sounds like the beatles were done with being "the beatles" and wanted just get together recording some songs and be done
it is a VERY good album but it just has a tired feel to it idk

one of my fave beatles albums

ncba93ivyase

maybe it's just me, but i think sgt peppers is extremely uninteresting and i don't like it one damn bit

but i think the white album is their best and revolution 9 is their best song so lol
