does anyone else find zoos really depressing? animals should be in the wild not cages!

yeah i know. it's sad. they live such meager and hollow existences. they're locked up for our amusement. so fat ugly people can stare at them with their children. i'd much rather go on a safari.

it's not really worse... depending on how you do it i guess. i imagine safaris where it's about 5 or 6 people armed with only machetes exploring the jungle. that i think would be fun.

not at my zoo. it's like 50sq yards with fake boulders and fake trees along the outer edge of it. it has some real plants too, though.
